We are proud to share some news. Expat UK Tax has been shortlisted for Best Independent Tax Consultancy Firm at the Tolley's Taxation Awards 2026.

For a specialist firm of our size, this means a great deal. The Tolley's Taxation Awards are the most established awards in the UK tax profession, and the shortlists are decided by an independent panel of senior practitioners who assess the technical quality of an entry, not the size of the firm behind it. To be named among the independent consultancy firms this year is recognition we do not take lightly.

A little about the awards

The Taxation Awards have run for more than two decades and are regarded across the profession as a genuine mark of quality. Categories span the whole of the tax world, from the largest advisory practices to boutique specialists, with separate recognition for rising talent, in-house teams and individual practitioners. Being shortlisted in the independent consultancy category places us alongside firms we have long respected.

You can see the full list of finalists across every category on the official awards website.

Why it matters to us

We built Expat UK Tax around a simple idea: that internationally mobile individuals deserve UK tax advice of the same standard they would receive from a major firm, delivered with the attention and continuity that only a boutique can offer. Our clients are spread across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Europe, and their affairs are rarely simple, residence and domicile, UK property, pensions, inheritance, and the practicalities of a life lived across more than one country.

This shortlisting tells us that approach stands up to scrutiny from the people who know the work best. It belongs to the whole team, the advisers who handle the technical questions and the colleagues behind them who make sure every engagement runs properly from start to finish.

Thank you

We are grateful to our clients, who trust us with decisions that genuinely matter to them, and to the professional colleagues across the tax, legal and wealth sectors who continue to refer and support us.

We will be at the ceremony later this year and will let our community know how we get on. Whatever the result, being recognised in this way is something we are proud to share.

If you would like to talk to the team behind the nomination about your own UK tax position, we would be glad to hear from you.
